Onions at L&L Farms

Washington State is the 2nd largest producer of onions in the Nation just behind California. Our onions are sent all over the United States as well as exported to other countries.

Owners at L&L Farms have been growing onions for over 26 years. It's a family affair! The work hard together each day for a successful season's crop.

Washington State's climate is perfect for growing onions of all varieties. The low humidity in the eastern part of the state keep diseases out of the crops allowing for a larger volume of production.

Once the onions are ripe and ready for harvest, the tops are cut off and the onions are pulled out of the ground and laid in rows to dry. The onions are then gathered and loaded into trucks which can hold about 70,000 onions!
